Part 2: Party All Night
Bobby: Think Jack knows how bad he’s got it for Sue?
Wes: Nope. You think Sue knows how bad she’s got it for Jack?
Patrick: Nope. Think Jack knows he’s in love with her?
Wes: Nope. You think he knows Sue’s in love with him?
All three said in unison: Nope. They laugh when Myles comes over to chat.
Myles: Are we talking about everybody’s favorite undercover couple The Hudson’s?
Patrick: Yep. Jack and Sue make a wonderful couple. How come they are not together?
Myles: They “say” they are just following “bureau” rules. I think they are both afraid of getting hurt and are using the “policy” as an excuse.
Bobby: Well, it is sure going to be fun watching them tiptoe around each other. I bet Jack is the one who will slips up first. (laughs)
Myles: That would only happen if Sue has him under her spell. (everyone laughs)
Jack: Hey Bobby, Stanley. Thanks for keeping this party a secret from me. (pretending to be mad)
Bobby: Yeah. Darcy said she would hurt me if I told you anything about tonight. And you know that I’m afraid of Darcy. (Smiles and Laughs)
Jack: It figures you would be. (Laughs) Only Darcy can make you squirm, Crash.
Bobby: Look who’s talking, Sparky. (laughs)
Jack:
Bobby: If you ask me,
Just then
Bobby: Hey, I take offense to that. I’m only kidding. I think you and Stanley make a cute couple, not as cute as another couple here tonight though. (laughs)
Bobby: Darcy is my Jane but I was talking about a new couple on the horizon so to speak.
Bobby: Sorry, I was sworn to secrecy. But I will give you a hint. Whispering to Tara-She’s our secret lip reading friend and he’s our super-agent just don’t let him jump-over-a-fence and land on top of a chicken farm again. (laughs)
Howie: Jack, my favorite FBI agent. I dig the party. The finger food is out of this world.
Jack: Thanks. I’ll be sure to tell the chef you approved the menu.
Bobby: Howie, I mean this in the nicest way, you’re out of this world. (laughs)
Charlie: I’ve never seen so many people crowded in one place before. Happy Birthday, Jack! I wish you all the best.
Jack: Thanks guys. I’m touched you all are here to celebrate with me.
Abby: Signing-Happy Birthday, Jack. It is a nice party.
Kevin: Sue invited us, I hope you don’t mind.
Jack: Not at all. I’m glad you both are here for my party.
Abby: Signing- I bought you a present. I hope you like it.
Jack: Thanks. I’m sure I will love it.
Andy: Happy Birthday, Jack. This is one cool party.
Jack: Thanks. I’m glad you’re here. How’s it going with you?
Andy: Alright I guess. Coach says I can try out for the basketball team next season.
Jack: That’s great. Every time I see you, you grow an inch taller. (laughs) You are going to make a fantastic guard. If you want, you, me, and Bobby can shoot baskets, give you some practice.
Andy: That would be great. Hey, Jack. Do you know that girl over there? She’s cute, I was thinking of asking her to dance with me.
Jack: Her name is Amanda. Go for it. Jack shows Andy the sign for “to dance”.
Andy: Thanks. I better get over there before I lose my nerve.
Mia: Happy Birthday, Jack. Thanks for everything you have done for us. Especially being there for Andy, gosh I can’t believe he’s a teenager now. (laughs)
Jack: Thanks for the birthday wishes. I’m glad you’re here. How are you doing? I like hanging out with Andy. You’ve done an amazing job raising him.
Mia: Thanks. I had help from my parents. Alright I guess. I miss James every day. But I also know that he is with me right now, right here in my heart. Thanks to you, justice has been served for me and Andy.
Jack: James Shepard was a great man, great friend to all who knew him. I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with him.
Mia: He admired you too. I got you a present that I think James would want you to have. Did I hear Andy tell you that he is going to ask a girl to dance?
Jack: Yeah. He thinks Amanda is cute. I told him he should go ask her to dance.
Mia: I don’t know how I feel about my son dating already. That is scary for me to think about right now. (laughs) Kids grow up so fast, too soon these days.
Jack: Andy is a great kid. Don’t worry, Bobby, me, and the team will lookout for Andy all the time. And we will come to all his basketball games next season.
Mia: I know it will mean so much to him. I can’t thank you enough.
Jack: No thanks needed. That’s what friends are for! (Jack and Mia hug)
